The Gruffalo's Child

Synopsis: After being told about the big bad mouse the Gruffalo child goes on a walk into the woods to find the mouse. He meets many animals (snake, fox, and an owl). He meets a tiny mouse that looks good to eat but the mouse tricks him by casting a large shadow. The Gruffal child thinking it's the big bad mouse flees.

Connections to Science:

Things are not always as they seem. Using a light source get students to make objects to appear bigger on a wall. Ask them what happens to the image when the object moves closer or farther away?
